Sarah Gillespie is a critically acclaimed singer songwriter, lyricist and producer.
Her own albums have received 4 and 5-star reviews from the Guardian, Independent, Jazzwise, Times and Mojo plus plaudits from iconic British musician Robert Wyatt. She has been touring internationally for 14 years and has played live on many BBC flagship Arts shows
Having co-produced her 2019 album “Wishbones”, she set out to expand her work as a producer working in Berlin’s Hansa Studios and regularly in London’s Eastcote Studios for upcoming jazz, punk, pop, folk and indie-rock artists including; Susy Thomas, Marta Capponi, Kate Trajan and Dannie-Lu Carr.
In 2020, after delivering free songwriting workshops during lockdown, Gillespie founded the Create Now Academy providing creativity and song writing mentorship to women and girls. Sarah Gillespie’s new (5th) album is released by Pastiche Records in February 2024 featuring Kit Downes - piano, James Maddren - drums, Chris Montague - guitar, Conor Chaplin - bass and Tom Cawley - piano.
